Emily Dickinson and Robert Frost are my fairy godparents.  Shel Silverstein and Dr. Seuss are my most influential teachers.  Sendak is my spirit Thing.  My best friends growing up were Calvin and Hobbes.

In an effort to make this more than a one way deal, I encourage you to illustrate what I write and even send in some of your own children’s poems.  Child or adult, create as you please and e-mail me the results with your name so you get credit.  I am also glad to link to your site if it’s safe for kids.
