Lark’s Lemon Basil Muffin (Part V)

(Read Part I, Part II, Part III, Part IV.)

Once stranded in the Babine Range
Due to reasons most unstrange
(Peckish birds love muffin more than worm),
Lark pancake patched his kitch-ship firm
And introduced an avian exchange.

Birds got every last one of his crumbs
If muffin wasn’t eaten from,
And any falling stars they caught
Were brought to keep orange oven hot,
Winning dumplings of plumpest plums.

Life is raw and full of awe,
An oven’s full of care,
Share and share is kitchen law
By both land and air.
